| Posted By: Lancers3 Posted On: Sep 2nd, 2011 Views: 2114 | Week 7 in Review We were approached by the OTFL execs about joining the A division, however we felt we didn't deserve the jump up to A since we didn't win B last season. We agreed to make the jump (if necessary based on division alignment) but I think the league decided to keep things status quo. As much as we would like to play against the OTFL elite, we want to earn a spot in the A div, and not be handed a spot. The reality is, we (Lancers) still remember the dark days of the Knights when we won a game or two when there were no division splits and we had to play the Rogues and the Buckeyes twice a season with no true QB on the roster. We have steadily improved but we still have a lot to learn about playing with elite OTFL and tournament teams. Since the topic of Alex and his 40+ point explosion was brought up, I'll add my 2 cents. Alex is definitely a great receiver, and ever since he's joined the Lancers a few years ago he's always been one of our prime weapons on O. For those that play in Dawkins indoor league, you will always see Alex's name at the top of the scoring list. Funny thing is, Alex plays DEFENCE for our tournament team because we need his skills and athleticism on that side of the ball. (All compliments aside, you still suck lol) My 2cents.
