I agree. Planning on doing an All star Weekend next year complete with skills competition.

RE: Skills Comp

Maybe consider starting the season in May gives us potentially 4 extra games?

QB stats for sure, that's huge.

RE: Skills Comp

In a perfect world stats for QB's and receivers would be ideal, but it would be tough for offcials to look after. Now if you have a IR player on the sideline or a loyal fan, this could be done and then if the info is communicated electroically the executive website master might be able to apply.
But and this is a BIG But as this would have to brought up @ the 2015 exec meeting. Good idea though...

RE: Skills Comp

I agree doing things like completions and yards is way too much to put on the refs but I definitely think it's feasible for the refs to track TD passes and INTs thrown and even sacks taken. They are marking the card each time one of these events happens doesn't like too much to have to put 2 marks down instead of 1

RE: Skills Comp

I agree with statsman. its a simple checkmark on the score sheet. the refs are already checking off the td/extra point/int/sack so its not much more work to put an extra check next to the qb's name in said categories.

RE: Skills Comp

The problem with stats is that once people see them, they want to win a scoring title. Then they rack up 6 TDs against lesser competition, making it (obviously) less fun for the other team, but also taking opportunities away from the scoring team to spread the ball around.

Fun idea, but it will lead to 70-0 shellackings. Some people just can't help themselves. And this coming from me, an admitted stats whore.

RE: Skills Comp

I hear what your saying about people running the scores for stats as Mr. MVP scored 6 on us with the same play in a blow out. But I don't think adding QB stats would bring on more of that. It's just something for us QB's to entertain ourselves with. If stats is the cause of people running scores might as well drop em all.
