"What's the Buzz in the OTFL"?

Well OTFLers this is it, the regular season sadly has come to end and all 12 Teams played till the bitter end.

Congrats to all our fellow Ballers as you all gave it 100% every down, every game and Any Given Sunday.

League Leaders also set the bar very high for everyone to compete Sunday after Sunday. So Congrats to our Winners, who by the way will be formally announced @ the Sunday October 6th OTFL Football Banquet. Which BTW "DO YOU HAVE YOUR TICKET YET?"

Now to the regular season action for the last week.

Central 9am
Buckeyes vs Bulldogs
This game was all Bulldogs as they converted on almost all their drives and made it a tough game for the Buckeyes to march down the field. This game needed the Buckeyes to not lose by more than 19 points for them to get a 1st round Bye.
BD's high scorer was Lewmar Henry who had 18 points along with Krys Saunders with a score.
With the game @ 26-0 going late into the 4th qtr, the Buckeyes drove down on the last drive to make this a nail biter as they were able to score and also get the 2 pt convert, to allow the point difference be 18 points, resulting in a plus + 1 point difference, allowing the Buckeyes to thread the needle for the Bye.
We have a feeling that they may cross paths one more time?? But only the other teams will see what their futures will bring?
Score BullDogs 26 Buckeyes 8

10:30
Cowboys vs Brew Crew
This battle had two teams in "C" compete hard right to the end as the score seemed much closer on the field than it did on the scorecard. Brew Crews high scorer for the day was Rich with 12 points as their D gained an INT as well by Jasper Mailla.
As the theory of Football usually goes, if your Team is to guarantee a win we must all try to score a TD per qrt to get that +24 points.
The Cowboys on the other hand did this as three of their ballers gain 24 points on the day along with 2 INT's which just made the difference, take away a few dropped TD's and this was a tie.
But in the end both teams battles it out.
Score: Cowyboys 24 Brew Crew 12

Now onto to Maxwell

9am
Untouchables vs the Raiders
This is the 1st game of two for the UT's in their double header action.
Raiders have been on good streak lately with games coming down to the wire or winning them all on their own.
But in so many words, this was again the Raiders quest as they had 5 Ballers all contribute to the cause on this Sunday. Their "D" also stepped up to allow them to convert as well.
The Untouchables still made it a game though as they succeeded as well as they played with that "Bend but don't break" type of philosophy. UT Nikosi Adams scored 12 points as Jermaine James as able to get a pressured sack and a very agile QB.
Raiders on top in this one.
Score: Raiders 31 Untouchables 14

10:30
Untouchables vs Hawks
Hawks with their QB and HB combination and also their intense "D" tried to give it all they had to compete with the UT's.
Rob Wilson & Geoff Keen both with scores and Scott "Speedy" Elkington with a NFL style INT.
With both clubs getting 2 INTS for their squads it was the conversion of these that made the difference. As UT's Roy Cousins Andrew Williams help combine to edge out the Hawks winning this one.
Score: Untouchables: 21 Hawks 12

12pm
Hounds vs OPC
Wow this was as expected to be anyone's game as these two teams, one sitting 1st in the "C" and the other in the middle of the "B" pack.
Seeing it 1st hand as I sat in the hard cement bleachers @ Maxwell was that the OPC quickness on the "O" and "D" were really in sync this day as diving catches were being made by Ryan Henriques to make the difference in this contest. No holds barred as the old schoolers were say.
But the Youthful Hounds never gave up and kept plugging along as Aaron Johnson was the only Hound to capitalize for his club. OPC and the Hounds now battle it out as they take on Hawks and the Bulldogs, "Ruff!, Ruff! and HAAaaaa!, HAAaaaa!" as these Teams scream out to their competitors.
Score: OPC 18 Hounds 6

1:30
Mustangs vs Rogues
Well here these two clubs that are always ready to battle it out. The key to this game was the Team who makes the less mistakes will succeed as both clubs athletically are the same based on their rosters.
Ian Campbell was the star for his club as he had a Tri Fetor, scoring a TD, getting a INT and Sack all in one game, GREAT effort Ian.
But it was more Rogues contributing to their success once again as they had 5 ballers all score, letting them finishing them regular season at 12-0.
Score: Rogues 33 Mustangs 6

So this is it my fellow Ballers, the final Stats are complete and we are all set to go into the next chapter. So everyone remember, "there is no tomorrow but only today, and this day is the day that we all need to BLEED Football every down, every step, every play to Succeed. So GOOD LUCK to you all.

Lastly as a FINAL reminder, PLEASE see Scott or Myself this Sunday @ Central or Maxwell for your Banquet tickets $10 per person. Don't Delay!!!

Yours in Football Fun and Fashion,
