Week #4 "Whats the Buzz in the OTFL"

BD4Life this is for "YOU" as mentioned the Buzzman takes on too much some times, between work, Coed Football, Coaching Ball Hockey, Indoor Football and Push and Sit Ups, I always give it 110% to get the post game report out. Sometimes for the delay I like to soak in all the info before I go wild on the Board.

So here we go again with Week #4 in the books. Some key highlights we have a 3 way tie for defensive interceptions all players with 5 total (OPC Brian Santos, Rogues Jeffrey Jacobs & Buckeyes Dave St.Louis).
Offensive scoring we have with a 5 point lead Rogues Aaron Racioppa with 39 and in 2nd OPC's Ryan Henriques with 34.
Sack leader(s) with a tie at 5 each are Manimals Mark Pusnammy & Hawks Jeff Hernandez.

In our divisions we again have a super tight race with the Bulldogs, Buckeyes and Rogues. Ironically all 3 teams do battle against each other this Sunday @ Central. This is a TSN turning point for all 3 clubs to help set the tone for the A.
In the B division Hounds, Raiders and Hawks are all making it strong with the Untouchables on their coat tails.
OPC and Cowboys are heading the C with Manimals and Brew Crew only getting better each down and each Sunday.

Now to the action, starting with 4 battles @ Rainy Maxwell Heights.

9am
Manimals vs Hounds
As I didn't have to play till noon, I got up early and headed up to catch some of the action on this rainy Sunday.
Both offences found it a challenge to take a good percentage of the snaps and be able to get a good throw off as the ball was very slippery while wet.
for a large part of the game the Manimals held the Hounds to 1-0 score, Thanks to Hounds Esteban Correa kicking it for a rouge. Until the 2nd half when the Hounds found a way to put points on the board.
Manimals defensively were able to get 2 ints and 1 sack on the day, these were all to Brent Bishop, MarkPusnammy and Matt Hibbitt. Hounds Esteban C, Jordan Clark and Geoof Bird all contributed with points, but looking at the stats it was the Hounds D with 4 sacks that help make the turnovers work in their favor.
Manimals gave it a great effort losing 15-0 to the Hounds.

10:30am
Hawks vs Mustangs
Firstly Welcome back Mustangs as this was their 1st double header of the schedule.
Hawks scoring was generated by Chaz Higney and our Prez Scott " Speedy" Elkington along with baller Rob Wilson. Earning them 14 points. Not sure as the rain had lifted if the wetness was the reason the Hawks had this game slip away, but they gave a 100% effort against a well experienced Mustangs who also participate in the Tfont tour.
Mustangs were high on their horses as they managed to put up 28 points thanks to Matt Wong, Ian Campbell and Sean Peters. Next time this tilt will come down to the team last with ball, my Football Gods tell me.
Score Mustangs 28 Hawks 14

12:00pm
Mustangs vs Bulldogs
Two teams that are quiet familiar with each others play. With this being the Stangs second game back to back, they were all warmed up to do battle. But the BD's took to the field all rested and ready to play ball. Spack was able in a patient form to spread the ball out to 4 of his ballers all contributing to the winning totals, that being: Krys "The Professor" Saunders,Travis "The Train" Thomas, David "Put me in Coach!" Delgado and Dave "The Catch" Zmozynski.
This will be a good race for the A as these 2 clubs will try to beat each other the finish line.
Score Bulldogs 25 Mustangs 13

1:30pm
OPC vs Untouchables
OPC's Ryan Henriques was the high scorer and with his 8 points this helped contribute to his 2nd place showing with 34 points. Missing some of their key ballers OPC played with promise. Defensively OPC's Jesse Dueck made a key interception for his club.
But on the Untouchables D and O looked to have the upper edge in this contest as they like other clubs had 4 different ballers contribute to the score. Helping them gain 20 points total were: Andrew Williams, Jelani Adams, Roy Cousins and ex Rogue Ryan Forde. Unfortunately OPC just fell short on this one..
Score Untouchables 20 OPC 15

Now off to Central High, where it was nice and Dry with the small background noise of our local CN Rail in the distance.

9am
Cowboys vs Brew Crew
Not to go into major detail but this contest was sorry to say a bit one sided, but also to remember that the Cowboys at one time were also wearing the same shoes as the New Brew Crew.
Cowboys were able to shut out the BC with leading scorer for Sunday @ Central was Jordan Mercier with 26 and other were to follow.
BUR Chin Up Brew Crew, you still came away with some positive stats on the Defensive side of the line with Mark Astrologo with 1 Interception and Yan ??? a sack.
Not much more to say. :(
Score Cowboys 61 Brew Crew 0

10:30am
Rogues vs Raiders
This contest brings a ton of experience, athleticism, and beer, ooops, I meant Cheer not beer ;)
Anyways as the Rogues used HB formation a large percentage of the game and Raiders missing some key Defensive ballers, this unfortunately leaned in the Rogues side.
Rogues top scorer on the day was Aaron Racioppa along with Stu McNeill adding 12. Raiders O was trying to make plays happen in strong Raiders fashion, but today was not their day, Raiders Cole Brown Lafoy stepped up with a sack on the day.
If the Raiders have their crew filly it will be a better battle down the road.
Score Rogues 47 Raiders 0

12:00pm
Buckeyes vs Steelers
This is the second time that these two teams have met with the Buckeyes winning the last contest. But this day was to see if the Steelers could make it different?
Welcoming back Chad "Spooner" Mallen from overseas and it look like he didn't miss a step on the gridiron as he helped his club with a TD and the same applied to Robbie Grey with a nice long run to the end zone.
But again the Buckeyes played aggressive on the D side gaining 4 interceptions and allowing their O take over.
Offensively Mike "Raf" Rafuse was able to spread the ball out to his ballers. Special play of the day was with 2 plays remaining when Kevin Park was able to take a hook lateral house before half. Also help to the cause was Marlon Won and Matt Chang, Matt Rafuse follow up with an extra point.
Both teams fought till the bitter end and on this day it fell in the laps of the Buckeyes.
Score: Buckeyes 27 Steelers 14
