Week #3 "What's the Buzz in the OTFL"

Here's to hoping that all of our OTFL Ballers are well rested and recovered from the long weekend and a post Canada Day cheer to you all.

Well here we go again Week #4 around the corner. But a quick post report for Week #3.
We had 6 teams hit the gridiron with 3 games all be hosted @ Maxwell Heights.

On the stats side quickly again a tight race in points for, sacks and interceptions.

In points we presently have OPC's Ryan Henriques with 25 points and a tie for second with Hawks Geoff Hughes and Raiders Kyle Shaw with 24 points.
Sacks we have two players each with 4, that being Mark Pusnammy from the Manimals and Jeff Hernandez from the Hawks.
Interceptions we have OPC Brian Santos with 5 and two ballers with 4 int's, Buckeyes Dave St. Louis and Rogues Jeff Jacobs.

Now onto the action from Maxwell.

Brew Crew vs OPC
This game had a mix of contributions in all the columns for OPC. High scorer for OPC saw Ryan Henriques gain 13 points, along with Brian Santos, Dave Chapelle & Paul Desouse getting TD's. OPC's "D" played well with interceptions by Ryan H and Brian S and sacks made by Steve Chapelle and Paul S.
The Brew Crew who are giving it 110% are still trying to find their groove on the offensive side as it was unfortunate to see nothing in the points column. But they didn't come out of it with nothing as Marvin was able to contribute with a large sack on the day. Chins up Brew Crew as I know you guys will get things on track. My beer return money is on you guys.
Score OPC 33 Brew Crew 0
Brew Crew: Offensive MVP: Mack Lakodaris, Defensive MVP Marvin, MSL: Junuis Jules-Soungie.

Hounds vs Hawks
Here we have two well experienced "B" squads who on any given Sunday this battle would come down to the last play. Hounds Esteban Correa was perfect on both sides of the line of scrimmage as he racked up 19 points along with 2 interceptions Great example of balling Eseban. Steve Halvorson also stepped up to play by sacking Hawks speedy QB twice on the day.
Ex Hound Geoff Hughes was on his game on the offensive side with double digit points with his new teammates Tim McCaskie, Matt Siekowski & Jeff Hernandez helping the cause. Jeff H also assisted with an athletic sack. Again the next time these two squads do battle it will be a close one, just as this contest was.
Score Hawks 27 Hounds 25
Hounds: Offensive & Defensive MVP: Esteban Correa, MSL Scott Bird
Hawks: Offensive MVP: Geoff Hughes, Defensive MVP: Rob Wilson, MSL: Scott Elkington

Manimals vs Raiders
Raiders were full steam ahead as they met the Manimals. Although the Manimals just keep getting better each week and each down. Nick Ferris scored the only TD along with 1 strong sack by Brian Sellers. But one score and a sack was just not enough to the new merged Raiders club with a ton of experience and some new young faces. 3 high scorers for the club had Cole Brown-Lafoy (son of Veteran Veteran QB Rich Lafoy)with 18 points. Along with Cousins Kyle Shaw and Ryan Dixon each earning 12 points. Kyle and Ryan also added 2 interceptions and 1 sack on the "D" side. These two clubs will do battle again and I have a strong feeling that the contest will be much closer.
Score: Raiders 49 Manimals 6
Manimals: Offensive MVP Nick Ferris, Defensive MVP Brian Sellers MSL Bosh
Raiders: Offensive MVP Rich Lafoy, Defensive MVP Kyle Shaw, MSL Alec Puntus.

With 3 sleeps and counting, Good Luck to all of our Ballers as we have all clubs in full gear to do battle.

Be reminded after the game and during the week to stop by our Sponsor, The Bulldog for the "BEST" eats in town.

Yours in Football,
Buzz
