Big congratulations to the Rogues and Mustangs for winning the "A" and "B" championships. A big thank you for all that made it out to the banquet this afternoon. I'm sure a great time was had by all as our sponsor Bull Dog Pub put out a great spread of food for us. I'll echo a few thanks I sent out at the banquet. First to the team reps whose hard unheralded work is what makes this league run great year after year. Second to all the refs for doing a great job all season long especially Kevin Dawkins for his tremendous job keeping all the reffing assignments on track and ensuring every field is fulling manned each week. Next to the incredible OTFL executive. Drew Walker, Mike Rafuse, Tanya Bezzant, Buzz and of course Kelly. All five of them have done another tremendous job this year. If anyone is interested in joining the 2013 executive we are looking for another member to step into the vice president position. If you are interested let me know. A huge thanks to Marie Alsop for all of the wonderful pictures all season long. Also to Gil Benight for grabbing some amazing shots of the co-ed division on Monday nights. A big thank you to our amazing title sponsor Bull Dog Pub who were just incredible all year long and have incredible food and an amazing atmosphere. and also to "The Wee Hideaway" for sponsoring the Steelers this year and to JP Marketing and Promotion for donate tons of great door prizes for our banquet today. Finally a huge thank you to all of the players for coming out and playing their hearts out and making for so many great games all year long and making this the best touch football league around. I truly hope to have all the teams back for next year and hopefully add a couple more teams as well. The fall draft league unfortunately didn't come to fruition but we will be playing pick up football every sunday morning at eastdale collegiate starting Oct. 14th. So if you are still craving more football feel free to come out Sunday morning at 10 am at Eastdale starting Sunday Oct. 14th. Well that wraps up a great 2012 season and I'm already looking forward to 2013. Thanks, Scott |
| Posted By: kelly Posted On: Oct 1st, 2012 Views: 1707 | RE: Farewell 2012 thanks scott! :) ditto what he said.. and even though it looks totally tacky - great job on another year of being league pres. this year had a lot of 'exciting' (for a lack of a better PC word) twists and turns to it.. and, as always, you handled them all in your cool and collected way... thank goodness for you! :) cause i lost my shit at every twist and turn.... ;) ahhhh 2013.... better look out --- can't wait for another year of cheering on the hounds! 2nd place aint bad... its a heck of a lot better than last year... and a stepping stone for whats to come next year... *high fives the hounds* and with that.. goodbye 2012. |
