I figured it was only fitting to get on these picks early this week.. my mind is well-rested, im over being sick, and im ready to pick 100% accurately for all games (that i consider worthwhile). Central: Mustangs vs Buckeyes I've had the impression this whole year that the mustangs and lancers were somewhat like twins.... but that the mustangs were the slightly less attractive twin, who had to get braces and glasses... so what does this mean in relation to football and the buckeyes... well.. the mustangs are very similar to the lancers in skill, but only marginally less capable.... and the lancers were able to just barely get a win against the buckeyes... this has me thinking this matchup will be a nice and close one... Mustangs have been having difficulty getting their men out, and buckeyes have been dealing with injuries.... so it really could go any which way... but I will take the buckeyes to just manage a win against the mustangs. Mustangs vs Sun Devils well... who knows.. SHOULD the Sun Devils not forfeit, they will have this match quite easily (especially since I am factoring in the mustangs being on their 2nd game of the day, and likely with little to no subs). The Sun Devils need to get back into the swing of things... oh that good old momentum that I know so much about (i would like to thank all my REAL football experience from when i played in highschool, university, rep, and even CFL for a few years... momentum... SO important..). Rogues vs All Blacks while the All Blacks did have an impressive win over the Sun Devils (technically twice if we count last week's forfeit), I think the Rogues will take this one ... wanting to make up for their loss against the top B team from last week. Henry Street: Hounds vs Hawks the Hawks will be in their 2nd game of the day... but the only one worth mentioning.. after winning their first game, they may be tired for this match up... and with the Hounds doing as well as they are, without luck, I do have to pick against the man who "wears the pants in my house", and say that the Hounds will take this one... more easily than it should be if the Hawks keep having the familiar themed problem in the league this month ---- not having enough guys. Donevan: Turtles vs Bucs hopefully this game doesnt end up in a forfeit... i would be suggesting both teams show up with the best number of players they can... this way, should if be 5-on-5... at least it isnt a penalty to pay out... if a game ends up happening, then i will call the bucs to win this match up... they have some solid athletes who have avoided the injury list so far *knock on wood*, who can do the job of 2 against 1 turtle.. we will see what happens! Lancers vs OPC the Lancers just took out the Rogues... and the Buckeyes.... i dont know if PACAS has any children.. but if he does, they can wear his jersey and sub in for him... im sure the Lancers will still pull out a win. not to offend OPC -- you guys totally owned the Longhorns last week.. but the Lancers are 1 of my faves right now with good reason (and not just because of players with names such as Kitty Litter, Pacas, or a man that is so good he defies the English language by being E before I, Veira).
