The REAL week 6 in Review

At Central

Rogues 27 - All Blacks ? 6

The early riser game at Central saw two "A" teams going head to head. The Rogues spread the ball around on offence resulting in touchdowns by four different players (Andrew Bringpong, Brandon ?footloose? Pottle, Paul Leckey and Shad Ross). This led them to a one sided victory over the All Blacks, who had their lone score from Richie Allen.

Sun Devils 33 ? Buckeyes ? 8

In the 10:30 game, the Sun Devils took on the Buckeyes in yet another "A" division battle. The reigning champs flexed their muscles, figuratively speaking of course, in routing the Buckeyes who were missing some bodies this game. Chris Heath and Vaughn Blanchard led the charge scoring 12 points each for the Devils and John Cavalari scored the lone touchdown for the Buckeyes, who drop to 4-5 on the year.

Sun Devils 40 ? Bulldogs 8

The Sun Devils never took their foot off the gas pedal in this one as they easily handed the Bulldogs their second defeat in as many games. In doing so, the Sun Devils remain undefeated at 7-0-1. Diarra Jerome had 13 points for the Devils, while Brett ?meet you at the quarterback? Herod tallied 4 sacks in the win. Andrew Q pulled in the lone touchdown for the Bulldogs who are now at 5-4 on the season and are in jeopardy of getting bumped from the number one spot in the B division. Puppy 4 Life....whaaaaaa happened?!

At Anderson

Raiders 34 ? OPC 31

This was an offensive show as the two teams combined to tally a whopping 65 points. The Raiders, who were playing with only 6 players for the entire game, relied upon Geoff Keen (18 points) and Steven Robinson (16 points) for all their offence, which was just enough to edge out OPC in this one. OPC sure made this look interesting and can definitely take many positives away from this game by being able to hang with the Raider Nation. OPC got scores from Brian Santos (12), Ryan Henriques (13) and Paul DeSousa (6).

Hounds 24 ? Longhorns 7

The Hounds are finally off the shnide and claimed their first victory of the season easily disposing of the Longhorns 24-7. The Hounds were led offensively by Esteban ?Don?t call me Ocho Cinco? Correa who tallied 12 points. The game could have been blown wide open had it not been for the defensive efforts of Miguel Morris who was able to corral 3 interceptions. The Longhorns are still looking for that elusive first win in their rookie season.

Hounds 31 ? Turtles 0

It looks as though the Hounds have said ?enough is enough? and decided to come and take their frustrations out this past Sunday on two victims, ummmm teams. The Turtles felt the wrath of the Hounds who are now on a modest two game winning streak. Esteban Correa once again led the charge by pulling down two touchdowns and Scott Bird led the defensive effort with two interceptions. The Turtles fell to 2-4 on the season and look to bounce back into the win column next week.

At Donevan

Buccaneers 12 ? Mustangs 18

In a very close game, the Mustangs had enough gas in this one to secure a victory against a good Buccs team. Andrew Brown, Ian Campbell and Matt Wong each had a score for the Mustangs who improved to 4-2 on the year and are just one win back from first place in the "B" division. The Bucs almost pulled out the victory in this one as Geoff Johnson and Justin Marshall each had a touchdown.

Lancers 29 ? Buccaneers 22

The Bucs on the second game of a double header just didn?t have enough gas to pull out the victory as the Lancers won a close one 29-22. The Lancers were led by 12 points from Alex Viera. Geoff Johnson continues his torrid scoring as he added 12 more points to bring his total thus far to 70 on the year. The Bucs remain one game back of first place in the C division as the race to the end begins to heat up.

Hawks 12 ? Lancers 26

The Hawks looked to take advantage of the Lancers as they were playing their second game of their doubleheader but the Lancers would have none of that as they beat the Hawks 26-12. The Lancers? Allen Szeto registered two touchdowns to lead them to victory. The Hawks could have used this game to distance themselves from the Bucs but unfortunately Ben Blanche?s and Jeff Greenfield?s touchdowns just didn?t cut it. Ben Blanche however is a single point behind Geoff Johnson in the scoring race.

Next week the stakes are raised as we get closer to the playoffs. Stay tuned for KA and JA?s weekly predictions, and remember - let?s have fun out there!
