Week 9 Report (Annes Street)

Week 9 in the OTFL was like Christmas day for the touch football fans. All 12 teams in the league were in action and to conclude the 6 games, there was an All-Star game.

Thundercats vs Atlas

We begin with the games that went down at the Annes Street field. The opening game was between the winless Atlas team and a Thundercats team that couldn't buy a win if it was available for purchase. However, one of the teams had to get off the losing streak in this one. The Thundercats were short players in this one, and Atlas kindly donated them James Morgan. Led by QB Keitel Burry the Thundercats dropped 39 points. Keitel had 4 TD passes, 2 to Bryce Crawford, 1 to James Morgan, and 1 to Victor Alis. Bryce had a TD pass of his own to Victor Alis. Jamie Whitter was the standout on defense as he recorded 3 INTs. Atlas came out of the gate slow in this one, but when Connor Thornhill for Atlas came in relief at QB their offense started to generate first downs. Connor was able to run in a TD for Atlas' only touchdown of the game. The schedule doesn't get any easier for Atlas as they are tasked with the Rivals in week 10.

Final Score: Thundercats 39 Atlas 7
MVP: Jamie Whitter

Untouchables vs Rivals

The second game at Annes Street was between the class of the B division where the Untouchables took on the Rivals. The Rivals were looking for their seventh win of the season, while the Untouchables were searching for their sixth win. The Rivals offense was led by Stu McNeil and Lewmar Henry in this one. Stu had 2 TD passes to bring his total to 15 on the season and Lewmar collected 12 points. The Rivals defense was led by all star rusher Jamall Brown who won defensive MVP with his 4 sacks. The Untouchables D was able to slow down the Rivals offense as they recorded 3 INTs, 2 going to Ryan Forde, and 1 going to Ryan Phillips. However, the Untouchables offense could not match the 20 point output of the Rivals. Jelani Adams recorded a TD on the ground and through the air. The TD pass was caught by Nkosi Adams. In the end the 13 points put up by the Untouchables wasn't enough.

Final Score: Rivals 20 Untouchables 13
MVP: Lewmar Henry
