| Posted By: John Anthony Posted On: Jul 14th, 2016 Views: 1367 | Week 5 picks 4 measly points away from my fist perfect week of the season. UGH! But overall not a bad looking 7 - 1 last week. Which brings my total for the season to a slightly more respectable 14 - 4 - 1. A bit of a tough week this week though but I'm not too worried. Maxwell Hawks v. Untouchables: Hard to take much away from either Teams game last week with the Untouchables taking on the pretty much unbeatable Rogues and winless Atlas and the Hawks getting the cakewalk against the Manimals. The only common opponent for these two teams is the Sharks who the Hawks beat by 12 and the Untouchables beat by 2. Based pretty much solely on this fact I'll take the Hawks in a close one. Atlas v. Manimals: Just when it looked like Atlas was starting to come into their own they go out and lay an egg against the Untouchables last week. The Manimals have also shown flashes at times but really struggled at other times. I'm going to take the Manimals in this one but not enthusiastically. I just need to see more from Atlas before I'm willing to pick them. Sharks v. Mustangs: Mustangs looked really good in their debut last week. Taking down a very strong (albeit tired) ASU team and then easily beating the Raiders despite being on the back end of their own double header. Sharks just haven't looked like the same team since their outstanding 2014 season and they need to show me more than they have before I'll pick them against any of the top teams. Give me the Stangs to stay perfect. Rogues v. Mustangs: I feel like I have to stick to my Mantra of 'always pick the Rogues' and I will but there is something about this game (and the fact that the other Rogues game was moved to next week) that makes me a little uneasy. Even with all that said picking against the Rogues when their opponent is on the back end of a double header is just a bad idea. Give me the Rogues. There you have it. Tough sledding this week. JA |

Teams showing their true colours Hawks vs Untouchables Any other week, this would most likely be the best game of the day, but, there is a pretty big game later today What a difference a QB makes. Man for man I should take the Untouchables,but, what a difference a QB makes Hawks by 6 Atlas vs Manimals New team Atlas has not found their way just yet. Now is a good time to start. Manimals have been a bit of a mystery ,but,are now beginning to show who they are. Could be a tipping point for the basement Manimals Pick Sharks vs Mustangs Sharks have shown little bite. Mustangs are just way to much Mustangs by 21 Rogues vs Mustangs Game of the Day. Too bad the Mustangs are on the backside of a double header. Not to say they would win,but,this would have been even a better game. Still can't go against the Rogues Rogues by 6 Good Luck to all Have a great Day |
