| Posted By: The Real Buzz Posted On: Sep 1st, 2015 Views: 1403 | 2015 OTFL Coed Finals "A" & "B" Champs Firstly Thanks to all the Clubs that were aboard our 2015 Season (5th Season running), we had great run week after week and all the Teams succeeded as the season went on. New to this season we introduced the new “Pop Flags” which were a great success and I hope you all enjoyed that style of the game. (minus a few breaks here and there). Congrats goes out to the teams that made it to last night’s Finals. In the “B” finals we had the 4th place “Young Guns facing off against the 5th place The Newbies. This was anyone’s contest down after down as we had the Newbies capping it off and capturing their 1st ever “B” Finals. Congrats to both Clubs on making it to the Finals. Final Score 27-15. The last Contest saw two Teams (Conquerors vs. Dawksports) who have been in this Rodeo before, actually this is the 3rd year straight. This battle saw a lot of great defensive plays on both sides of the ball and each “O” fought for every down. Mid may through the 2nd half with the score 15-14 for DS, the Conquerors aggressively fought their way into the DS redzone. But the DS “D” held their own and allowed the DS “O” to march down the field to use up the clock and score. Final Score: 27 – 14. Congrats to Dawksports and the Conquerors on a classy finish. A LARGE THANKS GOES OUT ESPECIALLY TO OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM AND MORE IMPORTANTLY OUR OFFICIALS WILL BACHEWICH AND RICHIE “ROOKIE” ALLEN. ALSO THANKS TO TANYA, LIANA AND SCOTT FOR STEPPING INTO TO REF WHEN NEEDED. COED REGULAR STANDINGS: DAWKSPORTS 10-0 INTERCEPTICONS 8 – 2 CONQUERORS 6 – 4 YOUNG GUNS 4 – 6 NEWBIES 2 – 8 BEST TEAM 0 -10 “B” CHAMPS – NEWBIES “A” CHAMPS – DAWKSPORTS In closing again Thanks soo much for all your competitive, professional and all of your Love for the game this past season. With that said we will be having our year end league Banquet which we would encourage you all to attend. Here are all the details: The OTFL Banquet will be Sunday October 4th at 1:30 pm at Bulldog Pub. You must purchase a ticket to attend. The cost per ticket is $10 which all qualifying OTFL & Coed Flag Players will get back at the door. Family members can attend but only qualifying OTFL players are eligible for the $10 refund. Due to capacity regulations at The Bulldog there will be 100 tickets available on a first come first serve basis.
