The official OTFL policy regarding teams with the same colour is that the team which has had the colour longer gets first rights to that colour. It is expected but not mandatory that if the more senior team does have alternate jerseys (ie. for tournaments) and the less senior team does not that the more senior team will do the decent thing and just wear their alternates.
