What's the Buzz in the OTFL

Well I'm back from Provincials and what a weekend and I understand that there was still some OTFL action yesterday in the works. Less games then normal due to the Ontario's. Looking forward to seeing the scorecards and all the exciting outcomes.

Anyways back to the post game action from a week ago and sadly the end is of regular season is coming to a close.

Extremely tight race in almost all the divisions as a lot of Teams still have double headers to compete in.

With a 38 point lead Rogues Aaron Racioppa has the leading scorer @ 129 pts and OPC's Ryan Henriques almost breaking the 100 pt mark.
Interceptions category we have Buckeyes Dave St.Louis with 11 OPC's Brian Santos with a close 9.

So this being the last regular season weekend, a lot of questions to be answered? Will the Rogues (2 games remaining)try to pull a 1972 Dolphins finish with No loses? With tight race in the "B" who will come on top an move on to a higher tier? And what is the secret on how they get the caramel into a Caramel bar?
Only time can tell.

Now off the games:

3 battles @ Central.

1st we had @ 9am Buckeyes vs the Untouchables
This contest saw two clubs that have not done battle yet this season and really didn't know too much about one another. It was UT's Ryan Forde who claimed the 1st score in the game with Defensive INT for 6 pts. But after this the Buckeyes woke up and were able to capitalize as Buckeyes TJ Bradimore led the way in points with 18. UT's Kevin Smith though came up large with 2 sacks to try and deflate the Buckeyes chances, but it was all Bucks fighting to the end.
Score Buckeyes 28 Untouchable 6
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.

10:30 Buckeyes vs the Mustangs
Double header action for the Buckeyes and were definitely NO strangers to the Stangs (TFont competitors). Mustangs who have tons of bite left in them gave it their all in their 1st of two contests.
JJ Edwards scored an unconverted TD. But is was 5 separate Buckeyes that contributed to the score and helping give them the win.
Score: Buckeyes 28 Mustangs 6
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.

12pm Mustangs vs Raiders
A vs B battle and this was to be anyone's contest and basically would come down to plays to see what the outcome would be.
Again son to Veteran QB Rich Lafoy, had Cole Brown-Lafoy lead his team with a solid 12 points as this youngster seems to be getting better every time he hits the gridiron, it must be the coaching ;) Nephew Lafoy (Che) also was solid with 8 pts.
But as the Stangs were already warmed up from the previous battle, it was their key plays that fell in their favour as they just edged out the Raiders for the win.
Score: Mustangs 21 Raiders 20
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.

1:30pm Rogues vs Steelers
Easiest win of the year for the Rogues
Score: Rogues 7 Steelers 0
Game Time: 1 minute

Maxwell Heights Action:
9am Brew Crew vs Manimals
Here we have 2 teams battling out to get out of the bottom spot as both teams are fighting and competing their hearts out no matter what and that is larger than life for the sport they all love to play. So kudos to both clubs.
Manimals Justin Glover scored a TD along with a very familiar name in the |OTFL for sacks stats Mark Pusnammy who added another 2 to his sack column.
But in the same category and chasing Marks coattails is Brew Crews Marvin (no last name??)who got one more sack than Mark @ 3.
But it was the BC who came on top as they were able to get the "W".
SCore: Brew Crew 15 Manimals 1
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.

10:30am Bulldogs vs Hawks
The BD's who are a great ball club and who are in the middle of the pack of the "A" came to play vs the keen Hawks club. Hawks had Tim McCaskie and Robbie Wilson both scoring TD's but unfortunately wasn't enough as the BD's had 3 ballers contribute and Germain Clarke with 18 of those pts.
Score: Bulldogs 40 Hawks 13
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.

12pm Bulldogs vs Hounds
Young, quick and still eager to do battle is the Hounds and maybe its just me but this team just keeps getting younger well the rest of our teams are getting older? Anyways this looks like on based on the scorecard it was all BD's but looks alos like it was a defensive battle, but with the BD's "O" succeeding a bit more. As we had 3 INT's for the BD's and 2 INT's for the Hounds. I'm guessing the Hounds just could convert on the turnovers.
SCore: Bulldogs 24 Hounds
PS as this one DB player always texts to say I never mention him, I like to give a special shout out to BD baller Tyler Stewart as he played 110% on every down for his club.
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.

1:30pm OPC vs Cowboys
Sorry but this game was a little one sided by looking at the scorecard unless someone from the Cowboy's wanted to give me some highlights? but I do know they gave it their all regardless of the outcome. OPC was on goo winning streak with this battle.
SCore: OPC 21 Cowboys 0
MVP's please refer to Stats icon.
