What's the Buzz in the OTFL (Week 5)

Hope all the ballers enjoyed the long weekend and have had a good rest.

Due to the Kingston tourney last week, we had only 3 ?B? division games to report on.

All games were held @ Maxwell Heights.

In game #1 we had first place OPC taking on the Cowboys.

For OPC Ryan Henriques had 12 points while Ricardo Duarte and Paul Desousa chipped in with 8 and 6 points (respectively). Phil Oliviera led a strong OPC defence.
The Cowbys managed to put some points on the board with Bruce Craine and Matt Healy, scoring all 7 points.
Final score: OPC 28 Cowboys 7
MVPs:
Cowboys Matt Henry (O), Bruce Craine (D) & MSP Kyle Connelly
OPC Ryan Hemriques (O), Daniel Oliviera (D) & MSP Dave "sure hands" Chappelle

In game # 2 we had Hawks vs OTFL
In this contest Drew Walker came to play as he contributed 7 points and an INT on the day. Other contributors were Frank Katradis & Geoff Hughes with 6 points each. Geoff Hughes and Jeff Hernandez both contributed on defence with an INT and a sack, respectively.
For OTFL Kyle Merstorf scored for his squad as Jordan Hischer and Jamie Giroux both had interceptions.
With the score Hawks 21 and OTFL 6, it looks like that the Hawks are clicking on all cylinders as OTFL who are starting to get numbers out are still trying to get things worked out.
MVP's:
OTFL Kyle Merstorf (O), Paul Ryan (D) & MSP Travis Hernandez
Hawks: Geoff Hughes (O), Jeff Hernandez (D) & Scott Elkington (MSP)

In the final battle it was Hounds vs Untouchables
It was all Hounds in this tilt as high scorer of the day, Brandon Clark (20 points), led his Hounds to a convincing victory. His big offensive day places him second in the league scoring races only 1 point behind Chad Mallen of the idle Steelers. Other hounds on the scoreboard were Esteban Correa, Justin Bird & Scott Bird all with Touchdowns. Defensively Aaron Johnson gathered 2 INT's and Jordan Clark, Scott Bird and Steve ?Halvy? Halvorson all had multiple sack performances. For the Untouchables, Greg Lachance scored 12 points and Khary Adams had a single point. Although this game turned out to be one sided in favour of the Hounds, I know that the Untouchables will be making some positive changes to fight back.
Final score: Hounds 40 Untouchables 13
MVP's: Untouchables: Greg Lachance (O), Jerome James (D) & MSP Jelani Adams
Hounds: Scott Bird (O), Jordan Clark (D) & MSP Steve Halvorson

With five games in the books in a very competitive ?B? division only 1 game separates the first place OPC/Hounds (3-1) and the forth place Untouchables (2-2). The Hawks currently sit in 3rd place at 2-1-1.

After your battles, try and stop by for a refreshing beverage or some good eats at our local sponsor - The Bulldog Pub (600 Grandview St. S. N/W corner of Grandview and Bloor).

Till next week, best of luck to all OTFL ballers.
Yours in "Whats the Buzz in the OTFL" signing off........
