RE: Provincial Results

All Blacks won their pool playing 3 games on Sunday to advance to the C quarters against the OTFL Mustangs.

Sun Devils dropped to the opposite C quarter finals.

Both teams won with the All Blacks knocking the Mustangs out of the tournament.

Sun Devils met the Burlington El Muchachos in the semi final and lost 13-12.

All Blacks beat the Niagara Buckeyes handily in a physical affair which also resulted in Matt Chang being knocked out of the tournament after being pyle drived face first into the ground while playing defence. Woozy and bleeding from the forehead.

All Blacks met the Muchachos, who they beat in Kingston and Unvionville, in the C Final and scored first but eventually lost 19-6 having played 6 games against an opponent who played only 5 games and still had some energy left.

Congratulations to Tony Chang who stepped up playing both ways through all 6 games as a 50 year old vet running like a 30 year old still. He won a tourney MVP.

Lancers were at the main fields late in the afternoon still on Sunday but I believe they lost as well. Not sure what round.

Not sure what the Buckeyes did. Never saw them all weekend.

RE: Provincial Results

Lancers won our pool (2-0) but lost our crossover game vs the Hamilton Hitmen thus dropping us to the CC division. We then lost our quarterfinal game to the Ottawa Hitmen who were the eventual CC finalist.

We are now officially 0-4 at the Brampton sports complex. We must have wore ourselves out in the pregame looking for the bloody field.

Anyway, good year Lancers. 3 TFONT finals, and 1 B title. Shoutout to Jay who's been battling a sore shoulder/elbow all year long and to Draffin/Arun for stepping up and throwing for us.

Correction, Ottawa Hitmen lost in the CC semis. (not that it matters)

RE: Provincial Results

We beat the Muchachos and, I believe, the Ottawa Hitmen pretty handily on Saturday, but then lost to the Hustlin' Owls in the crossover game.

I jammed my ankle early pretty badly in the 1st Saturday game, and while I played the rest of the day, I couldn't go on Sunday. I know that we lost our first game Sunday, but I'm not sure who we played.

RE: Provincial Results

X-Rays show it wasn't busted, so why not "man up and play through"? Doc said, "i wouldn't play football any time soon", to which I replied, "i have a game in 9 hours". He just shook his head.

Just because I'm getting older doesn't necessarily mean I'm getting any wiser.

But the good news about staying home was watching the Detroit Lions handle the Buccaneers in Tampa. MY Detroit Lions now have a 9 game win streak (including pre-season), longest current run in the NFL. And with the way the Bills handled the Chiefs, beating KC next week in the home opener shouldn't be a problem either!

TJ,

It seems like your ankle was weak from playing earlier that day. Don't say I didn't try to warn you ;)

RE: Provincial Results

:) well.. im glad (as im sure the buckeyes are too) that it wasnt anything major .... it goes without saying that it would completely suck if you were 1.5 weeks post-knee trauma, only to get back on the injured list for the ankle.
