Semi Final Picks

JA here with the Semi Final Picks.

So 6 games on tap this weekend. 2 no brainers and 4 games that should be pretty tight.

Hawks v. Buccaneers

The Buccaneers won two out of three regular season matchups between the two clubs. The first two games were both close but the Buccaneers won the rubber match handily. All things being equal look for the Buccaneers to win a close one here.

Rogues v. Sun Devils

The Sun Devils owned the Rogues in the regular season out scoring them 64 - 37 in their two victories. But the Rogues are defending champs so they're not think they are just going to roll over in this one. In the end I think the injuries that I have heard about to the Rogues will be too much for them to overcome as they will lose a close battle.

Buckeyes v. Ruff Riders

Oh what might have been for the Buckeyes if not for that mid season knee injury. These teams split their regular season match ups but the big difference is the Buckeyes won their game pre knee injury and lost the one post knee injury. I still think the Buckeyes have enough talent to pull this one out on any given Sunday but this Sunday it will be the Ruff Riders who pull out the victory and go the "A" finals.

Killer Beezzz v. Westney FC

As far as locks go this is about as bulletproof as they come. Killer Beezzz fresh off their upset loss last week will be looking to take to Westney FC. Killer Beezzz win this one easily.

Raiders v. Hounds

The two oldest teams (in terms of years in the league not player age) go at it in what I'm dubbing the game of the week. Even though there are lots of good games this weekend the OTFL nostalgia of this game puts it at the top of the list. The Hounds were the only non "C" division team to lose to the Raiders during the regular season and both teams had the same record. The Raiders with the exception of their loss last week have been playing some excellent ball lately. I don't think the Hounds are quite there talent wise but I could see this game going either way. Give the Raiders in a close one.

And lastly

Lancers v. Bulldgogs.

I take back my comments about the Killer Beezzz being the Lock of all Locks. And instead I'll make the Lancers my ultimate lock of the year. There is no way the Lancers will lose this game.

There you have it.

What injuries do the Rogues have? Rumours are Brandon Pottle.

RE: Semi Final Picks

I can tell you after nationals there are going to be a number of people banged up. I know are team has a number that are hurting. Bad fields and five games and rushers who do not know how to rush can mess up your weekend. Good luck to all this weekend.

RE: Semi Final Picks

If Brandon doesn't play for the Rogues this weekend then his injury is bigger and more damaging to the Rogues then TJ's injury is to the Buckeyes. The only option is to let him stand there and throw the ball with pops as the option. Trying to help you guys out, just my two cents.

RE: Semi Final Picks

From what I have witnessed first hand about the Pottle's, when they are both on the field together, they are very, very dangerous. Even with a busted wheel I hope the Sun Devils do not look past this team or it will be the Rouges to the finals over Dave's Team... AGAIN! For the second year in a row. Head on a swivel Devils, your my horse in that semi match up, so good luck and have fun! I hope to see you in the Destiny Match up if both our teams can make it through a tough week facing 2 very good opponents.

It's been a hell of a season so far, I'm sure it's going to be a great finish either way!
