Week 2 picks

Well it was a tough week last week only getting 3 out of 7. It could be a long year if I keep putting up numbers like that. Let's see if we can turn things around this weekend.

Game 1:

Hawks vs Hounds:

I've heard that the hounds are without their starting QB for the season. This is a huge turn of events for the Hounds who will now need to rely on their defence to pull out victories. I don't think the hounds defence has it in them so give me the team that is coming off a 35 - 0 win to beat the team coming off a 25 - 6 loss. "C" team to winner over "B" team will make it this weeks upset special.

Killer Beezzz vs Buckeyes:

The Beezzz threw the most picks of any team in the league last week and are now going up against one of the best defences in the league. This one could get ugly. Give me the Buckeyes to beat the Beezzz handily in this one.

Ruff Riders vs Rogues:

A rematch of the OTFL tournament final. I'm saying this one will be the same result. Rogues win (more than likely convincingly)

Buccaneers vs Westney FC:

A battle of the early basement dwellers in the "C" division. I have to take the Buccaneers to win this one over a new Westney FC team.

Sun Devils vs. All Blacks:

After an impressive win from the Sun Devils last week and a tough loss by the All Blacks I have to go with the hot team in this match up of fairly evenly matched teams. Give me the Sun Devils in this one.

Lancers vs Raiders:

I'm calling this one the game of the week. I think the Lancers with all of their team speed will pull this one out.

Raiders vs. Bull Dogs:

Give me the Raiders in this one to win big over the Bull Dogs.

Interested to hear what everyone else thinks.

RE: Week 2 picks

The picks look pretty solid save and except for the Raiders v Bulldogs. The raiders will be playing the rail end of a doubleheader in what should be a hot day. Give me the Bulldogs by a touchdown!!

RE: Week 2 picks

Yeah the picks look solid. I agree with you on the raiders. They could be tired. All depends on the turnout. However, the heat will affect both teams. They will win a game.

Rogues will dominate.
All Blacks game should be a good one.

RE: Week 2 picks

looks like JA isnt trying too hard to turn things around.

i dont think sun devils are beating All blacks in this one, it seems pretty obvious that those posts up the middle to vaughn will be shut down early! leaving very limited options elsewhere!

hes also looking to go 0-2 with the Bulldogs to start the season as well.

the rest of the picks look almost as good as Spackman's new hair transplant! if only his knee was as strong as the voice he uses to yell at all his players lol

RE: Week 2 picks

The All Blacks are a solid squad, one of the leagues best, but posts to Vaughn up the middle are far from Spack's only option. If they take away the deep middle it will leave Barry(the center) free to roam the short to medium middle of the field, and he is one of Spack's favorite targets. At the outside, Johnny Boy, Last Years Scoring Champ J, and Rob Eddy will provide enough fire power deep, and in the short game to keep the All Blacks D very busy. I think this one will be decided by the play of the All Black's Offence and the Quarterback's ability to throw against a very good speed rush provided by one of the leagues best rushers (If he suits up at the position). I think in the end Spack's Spartans, or Sundevelis, or Renegades, or whatever, will win out in the end by 12 points or so, Book It!

I thought Rob eddy was on buckeyes now?

"johnny boy" cant catch so i wouldnt call him such a great option.

but yes Barry is spack's favorite target.

Jance runs corners or over the middle all day. Barry is short leaks. johnny runs long and drops the ball... and Vaughn plays well... if he comes every week.

spack's hair is looking good though I agree!

RE: Week 2 picks

Spack is still the usual, throwing with the rest of them, but needs to gel with his team. It's still early so there is hope. Jance needs to be at games if he's going to get the scoring champ again, he's still a question mark. And Johnny boy, don't think he's had a drop ball all season, I think he might even have a pick. Still early tho, plenty of time for those drops
