They faced a very talented London Fury team that destroyed the XMEN/Buckeyes in Unionville last year. Buckeyes were winning in the fourth quarter when the Fury scored to put them up 24-19 with 3 mins. Unforunately we came up short losing to the Fury, but we gave them a good game. The next game was the Kitchener Stampeders, who spanked us pretty bad. Luckily Sunday we won all of our games, but we lost in the B finals against a new improved Mississauga Girdiron with a quarterback who has a good arm and mentor on the offence too who was a former QB in the Oshawa league(Ange/Falcons). I also saw the XMEN lose to the Enforcers bye 4 points in the Semi Finals for the BB. Unforunately the ref got in the way of a new star to watch out for in Oshawa Andrew81 was going to the post and ran into the ref and cause a int for the game. XMEN we know how it feels because the game after TO did the same thing. It was a good torney and the weather wasnt bad with some light showers for Burlington. The scores from our games were Sat. 24 FURY/BUCKEYES 19,28 Stampeders/Buckeyes 12. Sunday BUCKEYES 24/DYNASTY 12,BUCKEYES 13/HUSTLIN OWLS 7,B FINALS GIRDIRON 24/BUCKEYES 23. |

Pretty good guys and teams, but from last year I remember them being short a player or 2 at the start of games and stuff, so maybe they could use an extra player, that is a good size target and can catch some balls.
