My weekly picks

Hello OTFL,

I figured that you all might like a good read, as I do every now and then, so allow me to enlighten you all with my weekly picks.

Rogues vs OPC

Who do you expect me to pick? OPC win!

Rogues vs Bulldogs/Sundevils

Here we have 2 of the top 3 teams facing off. Is it 1vs 2 or 1vs 3? Point being the Rogues are 1. I watched some of game 1 between these two and i honestly thought the Sundevils were going to take it. It was fun to see the Rogues come back the way they did to pull out the tie. They have shown time and time again that they know how to win. And since they are going to lose to OPC before hand I can't see them losing twice in one day.

Raiders vs Thundercats

I have not watched much of either team this season but after seeing where they stand I can say that they are the top teams in C. OPC played both of these teams in the preseason, the Raiders were much improved and the Cats were good for a new team. The difference here is experience and the Cats are way behind it that category. Good on them if they pull off a win but I don't see it happening.

Raiders by 10

Hawks vs Manimals

You all know how I feel.... Hawks suck! ;).

Manimals by 2

Rivals vs Untouchables

This one intrigues me very much. The Rivals are winless but they have a lot of talent. The Untouchables are talented as well but they'll get what's coming... (That's to you Mr. "Get off the field"). Sorry, had to vent a bit. Best thing for OPC is a Rivals win so let's go with that.

Sharks vs Buckeyes

The Buckeyes are in the elite 3 of the OTFL and they'll show that on Sunday. The Sharks have a good squad but have not been able to show it. Remember, they have played the best teams in the league. I see a repeat of game 1 happening on Sunday.

Bucks by 15

Those are my picks. I look forward to hearing back from whoever cares.

RE: My weekly picks

I agree with the picks for the most part. However, I definitely do not agree with the Raiders vs Thundercats pick as well as the Hawks vs Manimals.

Raiders vs Thundercats

The last time out, this was a hard fought game. The raiders certainly do have the experience in the league. What the Thundercats lack in experience, however, they make up for in talent. I expect to see another battle for the top of the C division with the Thundercats coming away on top.

Thundercats by 5

Hawks vs Manimals

The Manimals are a big question mark this year. They seem to have some decent talent in place, but they've been able to put it together thus far. The Hawks, like the Raiders, have the experience and talent to surpass the Manimals in this one.

RE: My weekly picks

wowwww.. hates my husband's team... goes against my brother's team...

its a good thing my fave team, OPC, is going to win this week so im not on suicide watch..

;)

where is JA?? please don't tell me you got hurted at the tournament?

KA's picks in the meantime..

Rogues v. OPC
.... as much as I don't want to be on suicide this week.. it won't be OPC who keeps me smiling after this match up... RIP OPC.. RIP...

Rogues v. Bulldogs
I will pick the Rogues in this one too.. regardless of the tail end of a double header... they won't have to exert themselves too much in their early game (ouch.. sorry for the tough love, OPC) so should be fine to take out the Bulldogs in a close scoring game.

Raiders v. Thundercats
Raiders got lucky last time, preying on the T. cats inexperience indeed... but don't be fooled with these football classics.... they have picked up a few more men on their roster who could make their 'luck' longer lasting... however - #88 on the thundercats is so amazing that he will win the game (while the rest of his team watches on from the sidelines... yes.. that means throwing AND catching the same pass)... nothing will stop that Lithuanian Beast!!!! GOOOO 88!!!!

no... but for real.. I think the T. cats will have their shit together for this match up... but it will still be close... even with the rest of the team helping 88 out.. ;)

Hawks v. Manimals
I have the inside scoop that the Hawks will be running with a skeleton crew this weekend... which... at first I was thinking this would hinder them --- but lets be real here... its probably going to shake things up and possibly breathe some life into them!! :) ... but then again.. its not going to be a team familiar with one another...
this could really go either way...
but, for scott's sanity.. I hope he wins... wonderland afterward won't be the same if hes crying.
I will take the hawks.. but not with much confidence.
xox scott.

Rivals v. Untouchables

ohhhh.. well said Captain Cock..
I will also go with the Rivals to win, because its whats best for my fave team --- OPC!

Sharks v. Buckeyes
Sharks.. I didn't want to turn my back on you... but.. it was kinda the whole 'dating someone for 10 years and no commitment' thing.. piss or get off the pot, right... so... I moved on... and hopefully my new team will bring us a title victory! but... bringing it all back to this Sunday's match up between sharks and buckeyes.. I take buckeyes.. easily..

RE: My weekly picks

Not bad KA but one man does not make a TEAM.
Maybe he should try golfing.
Phil Kessel says Thundercats choke on a football
sized hairball and lose 35 - 14

RE: My weekly picks

Dearest Phil,

Lithuanians are too big for golf... the sheer size of our bear paw seal flippers prevents being able to properly grip the club with two hands... hence, why youll only see Lithuanians in basketball, rugby and strong man competitions... not wussy things like golf. pfft.. leave that for the Brits... (eh, Elkington?? ;) )

the recent raiders additions do have me a bit worried... truth. ... BUT I still say the thundercats will pull out their not-so-secret weapon, the Sword of Omens.. preventing the raiders from stealing the win on this one.....
