Let's see if we keep the winning streak going this week. Maxwell Heights Sharks v. Sun Devils With the Sharks losing one of their best players right before the start of the season it's going to be tough for them to compete against the "A" teams this season. That said they still have a ton of talent on that team and as long as they keep their heads up and keep battling they'll improve greatly as the season goes on. Sun Devils with an impressive tie of the Rogues last week are going to be hard to beat and hard to pick against this year. Give me the Sun Devils (probably by a good margin). Hawks v. Manimals Both teams' offenses looked terrible last week. But the Hawks' defence at least looked respectable. Based on that I'll take the Hawks in a close low scoring game. Thundercats v. Raiders Thundercats looked pretty good in their OTFL debut last week. The Raiders also appear to be much improved from last year. I know the smart pick in this one is to go with the Raiders but for some reason I can't shake this feeling that the Thundercats will win it. Give me the Thundercats in a mild upset. CENTRAL OPC v. Untouchables Hard to get a gauge on either of these teams after last week as both played to expected results. Talent wise these teams are pretty evenly matched so I'm just going to go with my gut here and take OPC in a close one. Rogues v. Rivals This might be the easiest game to pick all year. Rogues win by a lot (probably start resting up for the next game by halftime). Rogues v. Buckeyes Game of the week for sure. Buckeyes looked great last week while making mince meat out of the Sharks and OPC but I said last week I won't pick against the Rogues until they lose and they didn't lose last week they tied. So I gotta stick to my guns and go with the Rogues but I could honestly see this game going either way. Some tough games this week but still feels like a second straight perfect week coming up. JA |
