Statistics

Since it's the beginning of the year it's better to mention this now before it's too late. Are there going to be changes to the way stats are kept this year?

I think there was a previous discussion on this, but I'm not sure of the outcome. Was it too much of us to ask from refs?

Here are my suggestions. Take em, leave em, add and comment, but halfway through every year I hear players comments from the sidelines that a guy no one knows of or gets to play against is leading in ints, points or sacks.

Separate statistical leaders by division?
Tracking completions and attempts for each team?
Post half time scores on game cards?
Record converts attempted vs completed.
Penalties per team
Turnovers on downs
Ave points for and against per team in standings
Fans in the stands. Pets count too!

RE: Statistics

I think that's a great idea and if the refs think it's to much a designated player from each team should take all the stats for both teams and then compare with other team after game?

RE: Statistics

That would be the best way to do it but what if both teams only have 7 players?

RE: Statistics

add touchdowns thrown to that list. not hard at all to track this. touch downs thrown not points scored.

RE: Statistics

If both teams only have 7 which will hopefully be unusual. Then the refs can maybe help out for that game or have a spectator chip in ? Also good suggestion about the track of touchdowns thrown.
